Howdy, wizards.
Did you know that the wizard to wizardess ratio for AI is consistent across countries and industries? I’m talking about the gender-gap when it comes to Gen AI adoption. Puzzling indeed.
Here’s your daily fix of AI news + my 2 cents.
DARIO’S PICKS
A historic moment – OpenAI announced one of its most requested ChatGPT features: the ability to search through your chat history. Uses local indexing and is quite fast. It’s available in the upper left corner of your ChatGPT interface, next to where you click to start a new chat.
Plus and Team users already have access, Enterprise and Edu will get it next week, and free users next month.
We’re starting to roll out the ability to search through your chat history on ChatGPT web.
Now you can quickly & easily bring up a chat to reference, or pick up a chat where you left off.

Why it matters How has this not been introduced before? It’s super handy. Fingers crossed for some folders to organize chats next.

DARIO’S PICKS
You might’ve heard some rumours earlier this week about Google’s own “Jarvis” being in the works and coming as early as December this year, along with an updated Gemini model. Jarvis is designed to control web browsers to complete everyday tasks for users by capturing and interpreting browser screenshots – similar to Claude’s , just browser-based. This was first reported by The Information on Saturday.
This timeline now seems rather unrealistic, given Google’s earnings call yesterday, where Sundar Pichai confirmed that Google—specifically Google Deepmind’s Project Astra—is building experiences where AI can see and reason about the world around you, and that they’re working to “ship experiences like this as early as 2025”. Unless it’s the case that “Jarvis” is an experience separate from Project Astra, that seems to imply we’ll have to wait considerably longer than first anticipated until its release.
Why it matters Leading AI companies are racing to launch autonomous agents that can take action in the real-world; and that starts with controlling your apps. Anthropic pushed the envelope on this with the release of computer use, and the other players – including mr Google McDoogle – are quietly scrambling to keep up the pace.

Perplexity is taking one bite at a time out of Google’s user experience and giving it AI superpowers. A couple of weeks ago they transformed the search experience for the finance vertical, and now they’re doing Sports.
When prompted with questions about sports, Perplexity will give you a sexy dashboard with game summaries, stats, and comparisons across players and teams. So far it’s only NFL that’s supported but NBA, EPL, La Liga, Champions League and more are coming soon.
New NFL widgets! Get game summaries, team comparisons, player stats, and more. More sports coming soon...

Why it matters Whatever you might think of Perplexity and their many inbound lawsuits, you’ve got to give it to their engineering team – the folks are shipping product. In the last two weeks alone they launched finance research features, internal company search, collaborative Spaces, shifted to reasoning powered search, launched a Mac app and now, the upgraded sports experience.
